With good road and air links and close to Stansted Airport (50 minutes) and Southend Airport (40 minutes). Good access to the ports of Harwich, Felixstowe (Freeport East) and Tilbury, and Thames Freeport as well as being within easy reach of London, Chelmsford and Colchester.
Transport Links
By Car
There is good access to the Maldon District via the A12, M25 and A13. From the A12, take the A414 (Junction 18) or the B1019 (Junction 20) for Maldon.
For the Dengie Peninsula, take the B1010 or B1018. You can also access the Dengie Peninsula from the A13 and A130 via the A132 continuing on the B1012.
By Train
We are linked directly to London Liverpool Street via Wickford on the Crouch Valley Line. Stations include North Fambridge, Althorne, Burnham-on-Crouch and Southminster, which offer great links to the south of the District.
We are also close to the Great Eastern line between London Liverpool Street, Chelmsford and Norwich, via stations at Hatfield Peverel, Witham and Kelvedon
By Bus
Local bus services connect the towns and villages across the District to Chelmsford, Colchester, Witham and Hatfield Peverel. National Express coaches serve Chelmsford, Colchester and Witham.
