A grant scheme has been made available to help community groups, charities, and parish councils deliver projects that improve life across Maldon District.

Maldon District Council has announced the “Where Quality of Life Matters” Community Fund, designed to support initiatives that bring people together, boost the local economy, and protect the environment.
What the Fund Supports
The scheme is part of the Council’s Corporate Plan (2025–2028) and will give priority to projects that:
- Support Communities – tackling isolation, improving mental and physical wellbeing, and fostering stronger community connections.
- Invest in the District – enhancing community facilities, public spaces, and cultural opportunities for residents, visitors, and businesses.
- Grow the Local Economy – encouraging innovation, tourism, training, and investment in local businesses.
- Protect the Environment – reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and supporting climate resilience in line with the Council’s Climate Action Strategy.
Who Can Apply
Applications are welcome from:
- Town or Parish Councils in Maldon District
- Registered voluntary, community, or charitable organisations
- Registered Social Enterprises
- Organisations must demonstrate a clear community or economic need, provide a full breakdown of project costs, and commit to equal opportunities.
