"At Impamark, we truly pride ourselves on our customer service" - Toni, Business Development Executive
Founded in 1969 by David Thurgood in Northwest London, the business was built on a passion for quality and service- a passion still runs deep today After relocating to Burnham-On-Crouch in 1975, Impamark became an integral part of the local community. From supporting Burnham Carnival with their iconic bridge signage to collaborating closely with local schools and universities
"We're a small, close-knit team with just a couple of other salespeople, and we all live and work right here in Burnham - which makes it feel even more personal for us". - Toni, Business Development Executive
In recent years, Impamark has embraced an international approach. Now operating between Burnham-on-Crouch and an office in Spain, the business is led by David’s daughter, Nicky Crisp. Following the passing of founder David Thurgood, Nicky has continued to honour his vision, guiding the company into a new era of innovation, sustainability and growth. The team takes the time to truly understand each client’s brand. Offering tailored, thoughtful solutions that go beyond the product to create a real impact.
“It’s about giving something to elevate your brand. We’re here to help.” - Toni, Business Development Executive
Rising from the Ashes: A New Chapter for Impamark
In January 2025, Impamark faced one of every business’s worst nightmares. A fire broke out in the neighbouring unit, causing unthinkable damage to their UK office, destroying everything the team has built over the decades. The fire didn’t just take equipment- it took history, including sentimental items like the old blocking machines that had been part of the company’s heritage since its early days.
Through sheer determination and teamwork, the Impamark team wasted no time in getting back on their feet. By Saturday they were already exploring new premises; on Sunday, they gathered in a local pub to plan their next steps. Come Monday, operations had resumed from home - almost as if nothing had happened.
"She (Nicky) simply said, 'I don't want you to worry. I'll take care of it — we'll rebuild.' It perfectly captured the kind of person and director Nicky is: composed, proactive, and deeply supportive."
- Toni, Business Development Executive
Amid the devastation, there were moments of hope. When the team returned weeks later to assess the damage, they found the old brass sales bell had miraculously survived. Now mounted in the new office, it rings again to celebrate new wins and the team’s resilience.
Instead of letting the fire define them, Impamark used it as an opportunity to evolve. The team re-evaluated their operations and strengthened their consultancy-led approach - allowing them to continue delivering high-quality, sustainable merchandise solutions with minimal disruption.
Fuelled by Resilience, Focused on the Future
Now settled in their new premise in Burnham, Sustainability remains a key part of their approach, guiding product choices and supplier partnerships as they continue to grow across the UK and Europe. By educating customers on the environmental impact of their choices, Impamark has helped shift buying habits — encouraging clients to choose merchandise made in the UK and Europe, or from suppliers with credible sustainability credentials.
“If a product isn’t available within the UK, we’ll always look for something with strong sustainability credentials and push for proper certification.” - Toni, Business Development Executive
They also emphasize the importance of product longevity, promoting items that are durable and designed to last, rather than disposable giveaways. This proactive approach not only reduces waste and supports ethical manufacturing, but also ensures that promotional products are meaningful, purposeful, and aligned with modern values-cementing Impamarks role as a trusted, forward-thinking partner for business across the UK and beyond.
With their newfound resilience following the fire and a clear commitment to sustainability, the team continues to lead with integrity – Impamark helps clients make smarter, more meaningful choices that leave a lasting impression.
