Marty Englander
Based in Heybridge near Maldon, Marty is a marketing coach with more than a decade of hands-on experience helping businesses generate leads, sales, and long-term growth online.
For many business owners, marketing can feel overwhelming. There is always another platform, another strategy, or another trend to keep up with. That is exactly where Marty has built his reputation: simplifying online marketing into practical systems that business owners can actually use.
Through his coaching business martyenglander.com he now works with entrepreneurs and business owners to create sustainable marketing systems that drive consistent results.
“I call it the four systems,” Marty explains. “Funnels, ads, email, and organic content. They are the four things every business needs online or offline in order to generate leads, sales, and scale.”
What makes Marty’s story particularly interesting is that he never followed a traditional marketing route. Completely self-taught, he began as a freelancer offering small digital services on platforms such as PeoplePerHour and Fiverr. From creating HTML email signatures to building websites, he gradually developed a broad range of marketing skills while learning directly through client work.
One of his early freelance listings became a top-performing service on the platform, but after issues with copied work and platform limitations, Marty shifted direction. He shared his methods on YouTube, where a tutorial gained over 100,000 views and introduced him to the potential of scalable, passive income. From there, he moved into affiliate marketing, creating high-ranking content across Google and YouTube while promoting software across multiple industries. This experience helped him develop a strong understanding of how the core elements of digital marketing work together.
From here, the business Marty Englander was born. Rather than creating a corporate-style agency, Marty chose to build his business around his own name and personality, helping clients connect directly with someone who has personally tested and refined the strategies he teaches.
He says. “People relate better to people, rather than an entity”
Today, Marty focuses primarily on one-to-one coaching through a structured 15-week programme. Weekly coaching calls guide clients through implementing the four key systems within their own businesses, while Marty also provides resources, feedback, and ongoing support between sessions.
His coaching style combines strategic advice with accountability and practical support.
“Sometimes I’m a coach, sometimes I become more of a consultant,” he explains. “There’s a balance between helping people think for themselves and giving them the shortcut when they get stuck.”
Before taking on any new client, Marty also makes sure the partnership is the right fit. Personality, mindset, communication style, and realistic business expectations all play an important role in whether someone will benefit from the programme.
While his work is online-focused, Marty says his life in Maldon has become an important part of his personal and professional balance.
Originally from Manchester, Marty moved to Essex with his wife during the COVID period after searching for the best places to live in the county. Despite never having visited Maldon beforehand, they decided to take the leap and quickly fell in love with the area.
“It’s beautiful. It’s quiet. The scenery is amazing,” he says. “We love Promenade Park, the High Street, the walks by the water. My wife, my son, my dog, we spend a lot of time there.”
For Marty, Maldon offers something increasingly valuable in modern business life: space to think clearly, work creatively, and enjoy a slower pace away from the constant noise of larger cities.
